common symptoms of
unresolved trauma
"Kay*" didn't feel supported or safe most of their life, during their childhood they witnessed many untold stories. In adulthood, after short moments of confidence, a new traumatic experiences would usually happen and drag them down. This time Kay was struggling to cope with flashbacks, reliving some of their past feelings like if they were present. They would feel disoriented and overwhelmed and sometime would space out.
Kay's nights were restless, they would find themselves either plagued by nightmares or lying awake trying to push their thoughts away and question them. During the day, Kay felt tense and on edge, always expecting something bad to happen, even in situations that used to feel safer. The simplest tasks became exhausting.
They found themselves withdrawing from their cared ones, no longer able to enjoy their time or feel connected. The weight of the trauma followed them everywhere, and feelings of guilt and shame were constant companions. Key started avoiding places, conversations, and even people that reminded them of what had happened. Their job performance suffered, and Kay felt ashamed for not being able to just "move on."
"That's when Kay knew they couldn't keep going like this and decided to reach out for help."
"If Kay's story feels familiar, you don't have to go through it alone. and start your journey toward feeling better today."
